Tractor and Vehicle Collide on PWF Road
Tuesday evening, July 11, 2023, at approximately 8:20 p.m., a 2021 Ford Bronco was headed eastbound on PWF Road. A farm tractor was mowing the ditch driving westbound in the south ditch and the tractor drove onto the south (eastbound) lane to mow around a mail box.
According to a report from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s office, neither the driver of the tractor or Ford Bronco could recall the events that lead up to the crash, “It was believed that the Ford Bronco struck the tractor bucket that was elevated from the ground impacting the passenger side of the vehicle, rotating the car 180 degrees. The car came to a rest facing west.”
There were no other occupants in the car and the driver of the Ford Bronco was transported to the hospital to be evaluated. The tractor driver was uninjured.
The Ford Bronco was driven by Beckett Chappell of Fairbury and the driver of the tractor was Roger Blobaum also of Fairbury.
