Trojan Ground Game Conquers

Wymore Southern struck first in their football game against Tri County on Sept. 26 for T.C.’s homecoming and scored in the first quarter.However, once the Trojans got the offense rolling, Tri County didn’t look back and won at home 54-12 over the Raiders.For Southern, Paxx Adams was 9-of-20 for 125 yards and one interception while Weston Whitwer was 1-of-3 for five yards and one interception.Top rusher for the Raiders was freshman Hunter Pollman with 42 yards on 14 carries. Southern senior Carsen Goes had 26 yards rushing with one touchdown while Adams had one TD for Southern.Five different Raiders had catches in the contest with Goes catching three balls for 46 yards and Ethan Decker had 37 yards on two catches. Raider senior Kotlan Ideas finished with 34 yards receiving on two receptions. Levi Lundstedt and Pollman each had receptions in the contest for the Raiders.Freshman Ethan Decker had one sack for a four-yard-loss on defense for the Raiders. Ideaus, Decker and Drake Troxel each had a tackle for a loss. Goes and Jackson Heard each had five tackles in the game, each with four solo stops.Decker had four solo stops, all solo and Adams, Troxel and Ideaus each had three solo stops.Trevor Kapke was 2-of-6 passing for Tri County totaling 57 yards and Owen Lewandowski was top receiver with two catches for 57 yards.Tri County got the job done on the ground with 341 rushing yards while Southern had 62 rushing yards.Top rusher for Tri County was Garrett Smidt with 125 yards on five carries. Smidt average 25 yards a carry and had three touchdowns for the Trojans.Lewandowski had 115 yards on 15 carries with two touchdowns while Kapke had 45 yards and one TD. Gabe Alarcon had 26 yards with one TD for the Trojans. Ty Shores had 29 yards rushing for the Trojans on two carries.Defensively, the Trojans were led by Keyton Reck with four sacks on the night while Nick Sullivan had one sack for T.C.Reck had 20 tackles total on the night with four for a loss. Gabe Alarcon had four solo, seven assisted tackles.Justus Wehrman and Smidt each had one interception for T.C. while Isaac Sowards had a fumble recovery for the Trojans.
