Warrant Issued for Fairbury Woman for Missing Court

An arrest warrant was issued for MaryAnn Flinn, age 52, of Fairbury, after she failed to appear for Jefferson County Court as scheduled on Wednesday, August 23, 2023.Flinn is charged with driving without proof of insurance, a class 2 misdemeanor punishable by up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine, and driving without a valid registration, a class 3 misdemeanor punishable by up to three months in jail and a $500 fine.The defendant signed a citation promising to appear for court on July 10, 2023.County Attorney Joseph Casson requested tat a warrant be issued and Judge Linda Bauer granted that request. Bond was set at $1,500 (10 percent).Flinn was not represented by an attorney.Mail sent by the court to the defendant has been returned by the Post Office.Last year, Flinn was one of five suspects arrested in a drug bust in Fairbury.On December 16, at approximately 7:45 p.m., deputies with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office conducted a Narcotics Search Warrant on a residence at the 1000 block of B Street in Fairbury. Upon entry, five adults and two minor children were located on the premises. According to the sheriff's office, multiple controlled substances and related items were found in the residence, including methamphetamine, marijuana, THC wax, and “numerous paraphernalia items.”She was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine and THC), a class 4 felony punishable by two years in prison, nine to 12 months of post-release supervision and a $10,000 fine for each count.In accordance with a plea agreement, Flinn pleaded No Contest to two counts of attempted possession and on August 3 of this year was sentenced to 36 months of probation.
