Wymore Man Charged with Child Pornography

A Wymore man facing multiple charges of child pornography has had his case bound over to Gage County District Court.
Dalton J. Schwartz, age 21, is charged with six counts of possession of child pornography and one count of possession of sexually explicit content, each a class 2A felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison.
Responding to a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, a Lancaster County subpoena was served to Windstream Communications on May 09, 2022, requesting information for an IP address associated with viewing or sharing child pornography.
On October 13, 2022, HSI (Homeland Security Investigations) Omaha and the Nebraska State Patrol served a federal search warrant at the suspect’s premises.
Schwartz was present during the execution of the warrant, was interviewed and arrested. Several electronic devices were seized during the search.
Arraignment in District Court is scheduled for July 6, 2023.
The defendant remains free on a $50,000 (10 percent) bond at this time. A condition of the bond is that the defendant not access the internet to view sexually explicit material.
