Wymore Suspects Facing Drug Charges Accept Plea Deals

Two suspects in drug busts reached plea agreements in Gage County District Court.
Five people arrested on Friday, April 22, 2022, when the Gage County Sheriff’s Office executed two search warrants, one in Wymore and the other in Beatrice, as part of an investigation into the distribution of marijuana and methamphetamine in Gage County. The sheriff’s office was assisted in the investigation by the Beatrice Police Department, Nebraska State Patrol, and the Wymore Police Department.
According to the sheriff’s office, “During the searches of each residence, several items of evidence connected to the distribution of marijuana and methamphetamine were located. A suspected destructive device was located in the house in Beatrice.”
Randall L. Pohlman, age 44, of Wymore, was originally charged with possession of a controlled substance, a class 4 felony punishable by two years imprisonment, 12 months of post-release supervision and a $10,000 fine; unlawful acts relating to drugs, a class 3 misdemeanor; possession of one ounce or less of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, both infractions.
In accordance with the plea agreement, Pohlman pleaded guilty to unlawful acts relating to drugs and a reduced charge of attempt of a class 4 felony, which is a class 1 misdemeanor punishable by up to one year in jail and a $1,000 fine. The remaining charges were dismissed.
Pohlman was one of five suspects arrested in April of last year when two search warrants were executed at residences in Wymore and Beatrice.
Sentencing is scheduled for June 22.
Another suspect, Davina S. Morgan, age 39, was charged with delivery of a controlled substance, a class 2 felony punishable by up to 50 years in prison; possession of a controlled substance, a class 4 felony; and aiding in the consummation of a felony, also a class 4 felony.
In accordance with the plea agreement, she pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance and the other charges were dismissed.
Morgan was sentenced to two years of probation.
