Friday Night Kicks Off ‘Back To The 80s’ At FHS

Act
Ryan Dusso, FHS band instructor and director of the spring musical recently gave his thoughts for the upcoming musical, “The show is called, ‘Back to the 80s.’ It’s a jukebox musical, all written around the popular music of the 1980s. So the story was originally written, and then they picked the music that best fit the story. It’s all of the people’s favorite songs from the 1980s with big hair, big costumes, and big attitudes. There’s a lot of pop culture references from the 1980s throughout the show. I mean one of the character’s names is Alf Bueller, and we’ll just leave it at that. What this show is, it’s a flashback from the perspective of Cory Senior, played by Zane Grizzle, and it’s a flashback to his senior year of high school. So it’s his story of his senior year from his perspective.”
Dusso had indulged on giving his opinion on certain characters that the crowd would remember well saying, “I would say that there’s one part you really want to watch out for is a character by the name of Fergal Robert McFerrin III. He’s a cult favorite among the cast members as well and when you come to see the show you will understand why.”
Showtimes will be Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, March 20 with Friday and Saturday’s shows beginning at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.
