Warrant Issued for Wymore Man Accuse of Sexual Assault of a Child
Jefferson County Court Judge Linda Bauer issued an arrest warrant for a Wymore man accused of the sexual assault of a child after he failed to appear for court.
John W. Fritz, age 34, was scheduled to be arraigned in Jefferson County Court on Wednesday, March 26, 2026. He is charged with third degree sexual assault of a child, a class 3A felony punishable by up to three years in prison, 18 months of post-release supervision and a $10,000 fine. He is also charged with third degree sexual assault without consent, a class 1 misdemeanor punishable by up to one year in jail and a $1,000 fine.
There is no affidavit on file and portions of the court file are sealed due to the age of the victim.
Fritz had signed a citation promising to appear for court. Bond was set at $10,000 (10 percent)
