Southern At Lewiston, Jeffs Travel To Syracuse

At the Lewiston Invite on April 14, the Southern Raider boys finished in 13th place and the girls in fifth place.
Blazing down the track as usual was Blaze Barleen for Southern. He was fifth in the 100m (:11.9) and Harper McDonald was 10th in the 400m (1:00.67) for the Raiders.
Barleen, Dominic Renderos, Hunter Pollman and Carsen Goes were seventh in the 4x100m relay (:50.12).
The 4x800m relay team for Southern was seventh (10:18.75) (McDonald, Paxx Adams, Ryker Swearingen, Landen Frerichs).
For the Lady Raiders, Hadlee Maxson was third in the 100m (:13.38) and was fifth in the 200m (:29.48).
Isabella Hopper was seventh in the 1600m (6:33.92) and was fifth in the 3200m (14:38.22).
Reece Barnard placed fourth in the 100m hurdles (:17.44) for the Raiders while teammate Jenna Forney was sixth (:17.84).
Barnard would win the 300m hurdles (:52.02) and Forney was seventh (:56.12).
Natalie Lyons, Barnard, Forney and Maxson were third as the 4x100m relay team (:54.95).
The 4x400m relay team (Forney, Azlynn Stevens, Brianna Basulto, Barnard) were eighth (5:14.1) and the combo of Annika Glynn and Jaylin Klover were dominate forces in the shot put. Glynn was second (33’7.5”) and Klover third (32’8.5”).
Glynn was second in the discus (110’) and Klover eighth (89’6”).
Maxson was fourth in the long jump (14’11.25”) and Ellasyn Kotinek ninth for the Raiders (13’2.25”). Kotinek was 10th in the triple jump (29’2.25).

effs At Nicesly Invite
Syracuse was the host of the Scott Nisely Invite on April 16 and the Fairbury boys team was fifth and the girls sixth.
In the 3200m for the boys, Issiah Firmanik was seventh (12:22.83) and Westen Graham eighth (13:06.83).
Gavin Gerths placed second in the 110m hurdles (:15.65) and Jerik Mans third (:15.81).
Gerths would end up third in the 300m hurdles (:42.17).
Cesar Galvan, Graham, Firmanik and Malachi White were sixth in the 4x800m relay (10:41.96).
Christian Suchil ended up eighth in the discus (136’2”) while Brently Wilson was ninth in the high jump (5’4”).
Nic Smith and Jerik Mans have continued to be at the upper-tier of the long jump and triple jump and this week was no exception. Smith was third in the long jump (20’7.25”) and Mans fifth (20’2”). In the triple jump, Smith won (42’9”), over four feet better than the second place finisher, Carter Benes of Crete (38’8.75”). Malachi White of FHS was ninth (35’9.75”).
For the Lady Jeffs, Micah Friesen had a fifth place finish in the 400m (1:04.38) while Jordin Gill was ninth (1:07.69).
Friesen would go on to win the 800m (2:28.25) and Taryn Hinman was ninth in the 1600m (6:47.67) and Rylie Kapke was eighth in the 100m hurdles (:18.09).
The 4x100m relay team for Fairbury (Isabella Bennett, Rylie Kapke, Brylee Wiedel and Sophia Meints) was seventh (1:01.43).
The 4x800m relay team for FHS (Friesen, Madison Haddan, Hinman, Gill) were third (11:03.3).
Autumn L’Ecuyer was second in the shot put with a season best toss of 43’9” and was also second in the discus (111’6”). Isabella Bennett was 10th for FHS in the long jump (14’2.5”).
Friesen was fifth in the triple jump (32’8.5”) and teammate Alecia Bedlan was 10th (28’9”).
Titans At SmithCenter
Thayer Central was at the Smith Center Relays last week.

Boys Division, Boys team placed 2nd overall with 85 points, Smith Center won with 105
Blake Gunn placed 2nd in the 100 and 400 and third in the Triple Jump while he won the long jump with a jump of 21-3.5, a kansas top 50 mark according to milesplit.
Peyton Hubl placed third in the 400 with a PR time of 52.47
Murphy Sudbeck placed 3rd in the 110 H Hurdles
Cole Vorderstrasse placed 2nd in the Shot Put and he won the discus with a toss of 169-03
Our boys freshman 4×100 placed 2nd, Garrett Gregory, Landon Powers, Brendan Kunc, and Laiden Heinrichs
Skylar Fischer won the 800 with a time of 2:05.72
Our boys weight relay placed 3rd (Cole Vorderstrasse, Maddox VanSkiver, Garrett Gregory, and Brady Degenhardt
In the Girls Division, we placed 4th overall with 49 points
Piper Havel placed 4th in the 400, third in the long jump,
The Thayer girls 4×100 relay placed 2nd, Paige Tietjen, Piper Havel, Isabella Escritt, and Leah Havel
Leah Havel 3rd in the 200, and won the triple jump with a school record jump of 33-02
Ryann Pulliam placed 3rd in the pole vault
Results from the Deshler Invite. Boys team placed 2nd with 96 points and the girls dominated the event with 142 points.
Individually….
Blake Gunn placed 1st in the 100 with a PB of 11.26,he also got 2nd in the long jump with a jump of 21-04.75. He also got in on our 4×400 relay that placed 2nd.
Our Boys 4×400 placed 2nd, Blake Gunn, Laken Wiedel, Landon Powers, Peyton Hubl,
Justin Alexander placed 1st in the 3200 m, and also got third in the 1600.
Murphy Sudbeck placed 3rd in the 110 HH and 4th in the 300
Cole Vorderstrasse won the discus and the shot put, he threw a Season best 57-01 nearly breaking his school record in the shot.
Brendan Kunc came back from an injury and placed 3rd in Pole Vault
Piper Havel ended the day with 40 points, winning 4 individual events, long jump, 100.200.400. She had season best in the 100, and a personal best in the 400
Joah Anderson got 2nd in the 3200 meter run and 5th in the 1600 M
JaeLynn Watson won the high jump at 4-06
Ryann Pulliam got 2nd in the Pole Vault
Leah Havel won the Triple Jump
and Lilyana Watson placed 2nd in the Triple Jump
Our Girls 4×100 won the event (Ryann Pulliam, Leah Havel, Paige Tietjen, Lilyanna Watson)
Titans will return to the track on Tuesday April 21 at Superior.
