Antique Stock Tractor Pull Offered at Steele City

The Steele City Flea Market and Machinery Show will once again feature several tractor events. The show and events will be held September 16 and 17 in downtown Steele City. John Deere Tractors are the featured tractors and the Farmall Regular and John Deere D is the honored model for this year's show. Both tractors are celebrating their 100 year centennial. All tractors are welcomed, regardless of brand or condition. The Steele City Tractor Show is a fun, non-competitive show, so no tractor is judged. Antique Hit and Miss Small Engines, and Lawn/Garden Tractors are also welcome. The Tractor Show will be held both days.Saturday, September 16, 2023 will include an Antique and Garden Tractor Pull. This year an Antique Stock Tractor Class will be offered. This is a percentage pull and tractors must be totally stock. Tractors in this group pull a percentage of their own weight, so any size of tractor has an equal chance of winning the class. Tractors exhibiting at the Show or wanting to test their antique tractors are encouraged to participate.Sunday, September 17th includes a scenic tractor drive through the Steele City Canyons which will be led by Gary Shinn. The tractor drive starts at 9:00 am and drivers should report at 8:45 am for a meeting before the drive starts. Drivers will meet in the Tractor Show Area. A Tractor Parade combined with a community parade will conclude the celebration at 3:15 pm. with line-up at the school grounds.Tractor Event chair person, Juliann Endorf said, like always, We are happy to have all tractors at our show, the color and condition of your tractor doesn't make any difference to us. People should not think that their tractor has to be perfect or recently painted in order to exhibit at the show.
