In Jefferson County CourtJustin Vorderstrasse of Fairbury was arraigned Wednesday, January 17, 2024, in Jefferson County Court. Linda Bauer was the presiding judge. He is charged with possession of a controlled substance, a class 4 felony; as well as driving under a suspended license, improper lighting and driving without a valid registration, all class 3 misdemeanors. He was arrested Tuesday night, December 19, 2023. Jaslyn L. Fox, age 18, of fairbury was arraigned on shoplifting, a class 1 misdemeanor punishable by up to one year in jail and a $1,000 fine. She is accused of taking between $500 and $1,500 of items from the Fairbury Walmart on December 24, 2023. Estela Gomez-Lucas, alias Marguerite Rodriguez, was arraigned on charges of identity theft, a class 2A felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison, and criminal impersonation, a class 2 misdemeanor.Gloria Mendez-Lopez (alias Rosemary Trujillo) was arraigned on charges of driving without a valid operator's license, a class 3 misdemeanor; driving without proof of insurance, a class 2 misdemeanor; driving without proof of ownership, a class 5 misdemeanor; and speeding, an infraction. Seth P. Esskuchen, age 33, of Fairbury, pleaded Guilty to two counts of violating a protection order and one count of attempt of a class 4 felony (possession of high concentrate THC), all class 1 misdemeanors. Two counts of resisting arrest were dismissed. Sentencing is set for March 6, 2024.Mitchel P Hager, age 31, of Fairbury, pleaded No Contest to domestic assault, a class 1 misdemeanor. He was sentenced to 24 months of probation. Rocky L. Wamsley, age 40, of Fairbury, was originally charged with violating a protection order, a class 1 misdemeanor. He pleaded No Contest to a reduced charge of disturbing the peace, a class 3 misdemeanor, and was fined $200. Ryan Gray appeared in Jefferson County Court on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, via webcam from the Jefferson County Jail. Linda Bauer was the presiding judge. There are no charged yet on file but he was arrested for possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute and being within 1,000 of a school. Arraignment is scheduled for February 28, 2024. Kenneth D. Brown, age 48, of Fairbury, was originally charged with third degree domestic assault and obstructing a peace officer, both class 1 misdemeanors. In accordance with a plea agreement, the assault charge would be dismissed and Brown pleaded guilty to obstruction. Sentencing is scheduled for April 3, 2024. Gary E. Keller, age 32, of Reynolds, was arraigned on charges of false reporting and obstructing a police officer, both class 1 misdemeanors, and terroristic threats, a class 3A felony.Timothy A. Moody, age 22, of Reynolds, was arraigned on two charges of third degree assault of a health care professional, a class 3A felony, and resisting arrest, a class 1 misdemeanor.Trey D. Saathoff, 26, of Lincoln, appeared in Jefferson County Court via webcam from the Lancaster County Jail on Wednesday, February 21, 2024. Linda Bauer was the presiding judge. He was arraigned on a charge of DUI. A prior conviction makes this a class 1 misdemeanor. Saathoff was previously convicted of DUI in July of 2014 and January of 2017, both in Gage County. Dunia A. Orellana Sorto, alias Jessica Hernandez, age 37, of Crete, is charged with identity theft, a class 2A felony, and criminal impersonation, a class 2 misdemeanor. Another hearing is scheduled for March 27, 2024. The defendant remains free on a $50,000 (10 percent) bond. In Gage County CourtBrandee N. Freauf, age 49, of Fairbury was sentenced in Gage County Court to 90 days in jail for a third offense DUI (driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs) in Gage County. A firearm charge was dismissed. Tina R. Borch, age 49, was cited by the Beatrice Police Department with false reporting on September 6, 2022. Borch was scheduled to appear in Gage County court on September 13 and September 27, 2022, but failed to appear. An amended complaint added a charge of failure to appear. The defendant was arraigned on February 13, 2024, and pleaded Not Guilty. A bench trial date is set for March 28, 2024. REAL ESTATE: May 11: Brackles, Inc., to Justin D.
