In Jefferson County CourtCharles L. Barrows was arraigned in Jefferson County Court on Wednesday, July 26. He is charged with driving without an interlock device, a class 1 misdemeanor, and failure to use a child passenger restrain, an infraction.James A. Bates is charged with driving under a suspended license, a class 3 misdemeanor.Tyler S. Creek is charged with driving under a suspended license. He was originally scheduled to be arraigned in court on June 14 but failed to appear for court and a warrant was issued for his arrest.Tabitha Creel pleaded guilty to driving under a suspended license, invalid display of lights, no proof of insurance and no valid registration. She was filed a total of $125.Justin B. Cribbs is charged with criminal trespass, a class 3 misdemeanor. He waived his right to an attorney and pleaded Not Guilty. A bench trials is set for August 30.Robert S. Hillard is charged with driving without insurance is a class 2 misdemeanor. The case was set for a bench trial on August 30.Dale W. Roades of Brenham, Texas, was charged with driving without proof of insurance. He pleaded guilty and was fined $100.Justin B. Vorderstrasse is charged with driving without a license, no proof of insurance and no proof of ownership.Jonathan S. Barnett was charged with first offense DUI, a class W misdemeanor; and driving with an open alcohol container, an infraction. He was sentenced to 12 months of probation, a $100 fine and his license was revoked for 60 days.John A. Jacobitz is charged with third degree domestic assault, strangulation terroristic threats and false imprisonment, all class 3A felonies. The case was bound over to District Court.In Jefferson County District CourtLynn William Vieselmeyer, age 28, was originally charge with assault by strangulation or suffocation, a class 3A felony, and third degree domestic assault, a class 1 misdemeanor. In a separate case, Vieselmeyer was charged with possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, a class 1D felony punishable by three to 50 years in prison, and possession of a deadly weapon (a knife) by a prohibited person, a class 3 felony. As a convicted felon, Vieselmeyer is prohibited from possession a firearm or other deadly weapons. In accordance with a plea agreement, Vieselmeyer pleaded guilty to strangulation. The remaining charges were dismissed. Sentencing is scheduled for October 10, 2023.Michael B. Woolard had been sentenced to 36 months of probation for attempted aiding and abetting, a class 3A felony. A motion to revoke probation was granted by presiding judge David J.A. Bargen.
