In Jefferson County CourtHeather K. Castro, as she was identified in court documents, appeared for arraignment in Jefferson County Court on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, in the custody of law enforcement via webcam. She is charged with second degree criminal trespass and disturbing the peace, both class 3 misdemeanors. She was arrested in June 2. However, the defendant was unwilling to admit to being Castro or to provide an alternative identity.John A. Jacobitz, age 52, of Jansen, appeared in Jefferson County Court via webcam on Wednesday, June 7, in the custody of law enforcement. He was arraigned on four counts: third degree domestic assault, strangulation, terroristic threats and false imprisonment. Each charge is a class 3A felony.Trevor S. Pingel, age 39, of Steele City, appeared in Jefferson County Court via webcam on Wednesday, June 7, in the custody of law enforcement. He is charged with five counts of violating a protection order, each charge a class 1 misdemeanor; assaulting an officer with bodily fluids, a class 1 misdemeanor; criminal mischief resulting in damage with a value between $1,500 and $5,000, a class 1 misdemeanor; and disturbing the peace, a class 3 misdemeanor.Tanner R. Sell, age 37, of Beatrice, pleaded Not Guilty to attempt of a class 4 felony, a class 1 misdemeanor; unlawful acts relating to drugs, a class 3 misdemeanor, and first offense DUI, a class W misdemeanor.James L. Ebeling, age 48, of Fairbury, pleaded No Contest to second offense DUI. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail, fined $500 and his license was revoked for 18 months.
