Paraguay is just the latest of several South American nations to sign such an agreement.This is a significant accomplishment for a county with no exports, no resources, no industry, no currency and no government.The accomplishment becomes even more impressive when you consider the “Republic of Kailaasa” doesn't actually exist.The “Republic of Kailaasa” is a thus far non-existing country established (or will be established) by Nithyananda, an Indian guru who intends his new “Cosmic County,” as some are calling it, to be the “world’s greatest and purest Hindu nation.”While the “Republic of Kailaasa” doesn't have a lot of things, it does have a population in the form of Nithyananda's followers, including several wealthy backers who purchased a private island off the coast of Ecuador to make Nithyananda's dream come true. Should you wish to visit the “Republic of Kailaasa,” applications are now being accepted for citizenship, which allows for “free entry in all 11 dimensions and 14 lokas, the 14 worlds of Hinduism, including Kailaasa.”Nithyananda's desire for a new, sovereign nation may not be entirely altruistic, as he is currently wanted for a number of crimes.As for the Paraguay official who was conned into sign an agreement with a fictional country? He got fired.
