Ruth West

Ruth Irene West, age 96 of Wymore entered into Heaven on February 3, 2023. She was born in Beatrice on December 2, 1926 to Karl and Clara (Damrow) Henrichs. She was a 1944 graduate of Beatrice High School. On October 25, 1944 she was united in marriage to Glen Miller. To this union, Patricia was born. Glen died on February 4, 1948. Ruth then married Dale Dean West on August 4, 1950. Dale passed away on June 29, 1989. For most of her life she was a homemaker, but also worked as a resident caregiver at BSDC for 23 years. Ruth was an active member of the Wymore Church of Christ and past member of the Eagles Aerie #531 Auxiliary in Beatrice and Women of the Moose Lodge in Marysville. She enjoyed dancing and doing wordsearches. Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Wathor of Wymore; granddaughter, Mindy Pyle; great grandson, Kyle Wathor; brothers, Lyle Henrichs of Wymore and Bob Henrichs of Texas; and a host of extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Glen and Dale; and grandson, Michael Wathor. A private graveside service will be held at a later date at the Blue Springs Cemetery. There will be no viewing as cremation has taken place. A memorial has been established to the family’s choice with the Laughlin-Hoevet Funeral Home in Wymore in charge.
