Two Fairburians Among Those Arrested in Lancaster County While Living in Storage Unit

On June 10, 2023, Lancaster County deputies were called out to Sasquatch Storage in Cheney, responding to a report of a fire hazard and of people living in a unit.
When deputies arrived they made contact with Matthew Nicolas, age 35, who was the renter of the unit. Two other individuals were located at the storage unit, Dana Culp, age 26, and Tanner Dux, age 34, both of Fairbury.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, in front of the unit was a Lexus with Oklahoma plates which had been reported stolen. Upon further investigation, narcotics where located inside the vehicle.
All three individuals were arrested and lodged for suspected possession of a controlled substance. Culp and Dux were also arrested for outstanding warrants and suspicion of possession of stolen property.
The Lancaster County Sheriff’s office also noted the assistance of the Lincoln Police Department as they provided evidence involving the allegedly stolen vehicle.
