Warrant Issued for Oregon Woman

An arrest warrant was issued for an Oregon woman after she failed to appear for court twice.Tacy A. Hayes, age 43, was scheduled to appear in Jefferson County District Court on Thursday, January 4, 2024, for a pretrial hearing. Her attorney, Dillon J. O'Doherty, said he had been unable to reach his client, “I've left her voice mails, text messages.”The defendant was free on a PR (Personal Recognizance) bond. Judge David Bargen revoked the bond and issued a warrant. A new bond was set at $10,000 (10 percent).Hayes and another defendant, Zachary Roland, were each charged with possession of a controlled substance methamphetamine, a class 4 felony punishable by two years in prison, 12 months of post-release supervision and a $10,000 fine, and possession of drug paraphernalia, an infraction that carries a $100 fine.According to the Warrantless Arrest Affidavit, on July 21, 2023, a deputy with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office conducted a traffic stop on a green Ford Expedition with no license plates.After being refused permission to search the vehicle, deputies conducted a K9 sniff. The deputy indicated the dog, “indicated the odor of narcotics.”With that, deputies were able to search the vehicle. The deputies reported finding, “One foil package 'Cultivated in Colorado' containing marijuana crumbs. Multitudes of small baggies with a white crystallin (sic) residue concealed in a tin under the rear seat. A home-made bong was found in a black bag Bruck (Hayes was originally identified as Tacy Buck but told authorities her correct last name is Hayes) said she had just purchased at Walmart. Several glass meth type pipes and dirty baggies were found in a tackle box underneath a roll of bedding behind the rear seat. I tested a glass meth type smoking pipe found in the box for the presence of methamphetamine which returned positive. I then tested a glass smoking pipe from the tacklebox which returned positive.”
