In Jefferson County CourtTy E. Cecrle, age 30, of Washington, Kansas, was arraigned in Jefferson County Court on Wednesday, November 29, 2023. Linda Bauer was the presiding judge. He is charged with DUI with a test over .15, a class W misdemeanor, as well as driving left of the center line and failing to use a seat belt, both infractions. Another hearing is scheduled for January 3, 2023. The defendant remains free on a $5,000 (10 percent) bond.Shanon Branson, age 47, of Fairbury, is charged with second degree assault, a class 2A felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison, and use of a deadly weapon (a knife) to commit a felony, a class 2 felony punishable by up to 50 years in prison. She waived her right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over to District Court. She remains in custody as of press time.Alpha L Haskett, age 46, of Fairbury, is charged with attempted possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, a class 1 misdemeanor. Another hearing is scheduled for December 13, 2023. He remains free on a $5,000 (10 percent) bond.In Gage County CourtHeather N. Benner, age 32, of Fairbury, is charged with driving without proof of insurance and leaving the scene of an accident. She pleaded Not Guilty plea. Another hearing is scheduled for for January 4, 2024.Christopher D. Drees, age 52, of Daykin pleaded No Contest to first offense DUI. Sentencing is scheduled for December 21, 2023.Garrett Hein, age 26, of Fairbury, pleaded No Contest to issuing a bad check for less than $500. Sentencing scheduled for December 14, 2023.Tanner R. Sell, age 37, of Fairbury, was sentenced for DUI; he was fined $500, sentenced to two days jail, license revoked one year and given nine months probation. He was also fined $300 for possession of marijuana.Warrants Issued in Gage CountyDana L. Culp, age 27, of Fairbury, has a warrant for violation of probation and possession of a controlled substance, a class 3 felony.MaryAnn V. Flinn, age 52, of Fairbury, has a warrant for driving without a valid registration or proof of insurance.Dalton J.
