Jeffs Get Win Over Twin River

On April 13, the FHS baseball team had a triangular an first faced Aurora.
The Huskies earned a 3-0 win.
Both teams were scoreless until a 2-0 fourth inning and the Huskies added a run in the sixth.
Getting hits for the Jeffs would be Jamison Runge, Jacob Nippert and Lucas Livingston.
Dom Joe pitched six innings and had eight strikeouts.
The Jeffs then faced Central City/Centura and lost 4-16.
Hits for FHS included Runge and Koby Kroll had one RBI. Joe had one hit and Nippert had one hit and one RBI. Dakota Zimmerman had one hit while Livingston had one hit and one RBI.
Elias Keyser had one RBI.
On the mound for the Jeffs, Garrett Roelfs had five strikeouts and Livingston had two.
On April 14, the Jeffs hosted the Louisville Lions and lost 4-8.
Getting hits for FHS included Dom Joe with a home run and two RBI and Lucas Livingston continued to hit well with a double.
Also getting hits were Miles Tatro, Jamison Runge, Jacob Nippert (with one RBI) and Garrett Roelfs. Runge had a stolen base in the contest.
CJ Goeking pitched four complete innings with five strikeouts while Tator pitched two innings with one K.
On April 16, the Jeffs hosted the Twin River Titans and came away with an impressive 7-4 win. FHS was down 1-0 in the second inning when the Jeffs exploded for six runs in the third. Twin River added a run in the fourth and two in the fifth and FHS added a run in the fifth for some cushion. Down the stretch, the Jeffs held the Titans scoreless to preserve the ‘W.’
Dom Joe, Jacob Nippert and Jamison Runge each had a double in the game for FHS. Runge had two RBI, Joe 1, Nippert two RBI as did Miles Tatro. Dakota Zimmerman had two hits on the day. Stolen bases for the Jeffs included Joe, Garrett Roelfs and Wesley Timmons.
Tatro pitched the entire game and had five strikeouts for the Jeffs.
