He explained to the school board the money for the slab was to come out of the elementary projects fund and was poured through volunteer work over Thanksgiving vacation. This did not require school board approval.A first responders' meeting held in Fairbury where emergency management project director for Public Health Solutions, Shannon Bogler, explained the planning and preparedness going into a response to bio terrorism attack. She cited anthrax or smallpox as possible bio terrorism agents and the type of response that health care responders were prepared for in our area.Local students named to the Northwest Missouri State honor roll include Kristin Wolken from Diller and Kenneth Elder and Jordon Starr of Fairbury on the President's Honor Roll. The Academic Honor Roll include Cara Wiese, DeWitt; Allysia Grummert of Plymouth; and Jamie Buchmeier, Emmy Furrow and Casey Schwisow all of Fairbury.
