Girls:Kapke Runner-UpThe Fairbury Lady Jeffs competed at the Weeping Water Invite on Saturday, Jan. 20.Top performances came by Regan Kapke finishing as runner-up in the 115-pound division. Kapke would go 3-1 on the day with two wins by pinfall and one major decision. Her one loss coming from the previous State Champion of Bennington, Maycee Peacher.Heidi Ramos was able to place sixth in the 155-pound division.Also competing for Fairbury was Clara Buxton, Olivia Hackler, Reese Stone, Marly Brinkmann, Danika Corbin, Zoey Frerichs, Mailee Garner, Abigail Hynek, and Addison Marschman.Buresh, Naiman At Weeping Water InviteThe Meridian Lady Mustangs had Hailee Buresh and Alyssa Naiman competing at the Weeping Water Invite. Meridian will be back on the mat at the Warcat Invite Saturday, Jan. 27 to close out the regular season.W-C At CentennialThe Wilber-Clatonia Lady Wolverines competed at the Centennial Invite on Saturday, Jan. 20.Top efforts came by Faith Klabenes placing fourth in the 235-pound division going 2-2 with each win coming by pinfall. Also competing was Jovani Nordues, and Diamond Thompson. Boys:Mustangs Heading To FreemanThe Meridian Mustangs will be on the mats for the Freeman Invite on Friday, Jan. 26 and the Warcat Invite on Saturday, Jan. 27.W-C At TriangularThe Wilber-Clatonia Wolverines will be in triangular competition with Crete and Tri County on Thursday, Jan. 25 and then at the Southern Nebraska Conference Wrestling Invite at David City on Saturday, Jan. 27.Tri County Staying BusyThe Tri County Trojans with a full week ahead as they’ll be hosting a triangular on Thursday, Jan. 25 will host triangular competition with Crete and Wilber-Clatonia, hit the road for the Central Valley invite on Friday, Jan. 26 and then on Saturday, Jan. 27 at the Doniphan-Trumball Invite.Titans Headed To David CityThe Thayer Central Titans will be at the Southern Nebraska Conference wrestling Invite at David City on Saturday, Jan. 27.Friday, Jeffs Hosting TriangularThe Fairbury Jeffs will be hosting a triangular against Twin River and Syracuse on Friday, Jan. 26.
