Fairbury At SyracuseThe Fairbury Jeffs were competing at the Syracuse invite on April 11 with both the boys and girls placing sixth.The girls 4x800 relay, consisting of Micah Friesen, Lily Davis, Annika Mueller, and Sam Starr finished second (10:30.32). For the 3200-meter run Madison Haddan was able to place fourth with a Personal Record (PR) time of 14:57.96.In field events Autumn L’Ecuyer was sixth in the discus (99’) and set a PR, finishing first in the shot put (40’10”). Lily Davis was able to come away with second in the pole vault (9’2”) and Izzy Ohlde was fourth with a height of 7’8” (PR).For the boys field events, Nic Smith took second in the triple jump (39’9”). Dalton Vanlaningham was first again the pole vault with a height 11’8”. For shot put Rene Monterroso set a new PR, throwing 47’7”.Korey Nippert was sixth with a PR time of :47.11 in the 300-meter hurdles and Gavin Gerths was fifth (:17.80). Smith was sixth in the 200 and 100-meter dash. Milford Hosts W-C, T.C., SouthernOn April 9 Milford hosted an invite with Wilber-Clatonia, Tri County, and Southern being among the nine teams.The Southern Raiders had top efforts come by Karrigan Henrichs setting a PR distance in the discus while taking fourth with 105’5” and Isabella Hopper took fifth in the 3200-meter run setting a PR time (13:54.56). For the boys Cooper Warford reached a PR height in high jump, finishing second (6’2”), placing sixth in the 100-meter dash. Tony Pruneda set a new PR time in the 3200-meters (11:01.75), finishing fourth.The Tri County Trojan boys was fourth and the girls second.Notable performances in the field events came by Tayden Gronemeyer reaching a season best 38’11” in the triple jump (fourth place). Gronemeyer was third place in the pole vault (11’6”). Cooper Stokebrand took fourth in the shot put (45’). Then in the discus Stokebrand would set a new PR distance with a throw of 142’4”.The 4x800-meter relay (Jonah Schwab, Henry Holtmeier, Ethan Jobman, Ethan Rosenthal) and the 4x400 (Dustin Kapke, Garrett Smidt, Sam Holsing, Lucas Lewandowski) each placed fourth. The 4x100-meter relay (Pierce Damrow, Garrett Smidt, Keyton Reck, Ben Holsing) were third (:46.01).Dusty Kapke was able to take second for both hurdle events as he ran a PR time of :42.90 in the 300-meter hurdles, and :16.17 in the 110-meter hurdles. Ben Holsing was fourth in the 200-meter (:23.85) and Pierce Damrow was fifth in the 100-meter dash.Lucas Lewandowski was fourth in the 400 meters (:54.29), setting a PR and third in the 800 meters (2:05.98) also a PR.The trio of Henry Kapke, Drew Siems and Sam Holsing was fifth in the 3200 meters (11:03.37), as Kapke seta personal record. Siems was third, Holsing second, setting a PR (10:38.69).Reagan Schwisow threw to second place, setting a PR in the shot put (33’11.5”). Kennadee VanWinkle leapt to first place in the pole vault (9’6”), followed by Melia Gronemeyer in third.In the triple jump, Ashlynn Brown was third (31’ 3.5”, a PR, and Catrina Washburn grabbed fourth (31’3”).The 4x400-meter relay team (Ella Clark, Ashton Schwisow, Olive Clark, Abbie Drewes) placed third (4:29.82) and the 4x100-meter relay (Rylee McCune, Kennadee VanWinkle, Melia Gronemeyer, Abbie Drewes) was fifth. Drewes finished with top placements in the hurdles (first-300-meter hurdles :51.86; second-100-meter hurdles :17.69 (PR)).Isablle Peters took second in the 800-meter run 2:29.82 and in the 3200-meter run set a PR time of 12:18.26. Kenzie Scherling was able to join in the PR time parade in the 1600-meters (6:20.94) for fifth.The Wilber-Clatonia Wolverine boys were second and the girls seventh at Milford.Jera Schuerman took first in discus with a season best 111’9” and Kiley Kotas getting a season best throw of 107’8” placing third.Breanna Spilker was sixth in the triple jump 30’6.5”.The 4x800-meter relay (Alexa Landeros, June Peterson, Savannah Lowery, Brittany Torres) placed fourth (12:22.11).Haleah Schuerman took sixth in the 100 hurdles (:18.36, PR). Diamond Thompson was able to place in the top five for each of her three individual races. Thompson was fifth in the 100-meter dash (:13.85, PR), fifth in the 200 meters (:28.19) and took home gold in the 400-meter dash (1:01.16).Gavin Vlcan brought home first in the three individual races (400 meters- :50.78 (PR); 200 meter dash- :23.21 100 meter dash- :11.43). Cash Keslar was able to place in the top five of the 300-meter hurdles with a season best :45.11. Evan Odvody was able to place sixth in the 3200-meter run with a PR time 11:04.75.The 4x400-meter relay (Cash Keslar, Grayson Vlcan, Grant Eschiti, Gavin Vlcan) were second (3:38.95). The 4x800-meter relay (Evan Odvody, Ryan Nicholson, Aiden Wright, Grant Eschiti) were first (9:04.31). The 4x100-meter relay (Cooper Palmer, Aiden Zajicek, Carter Skelba, Josiah LaMere) took fifth.Jorge Vazquez finished second in both throwing events, setting a PR in the discus (143’) and shot put (49’7”). Carter Skleba was first in the triple jump and long jump (40’7.05” triple, 21’4” long, PR).Griffins Score School Record At LewistonThe Diller-Odell Griffins were at the Lewiston Invite on April 9 with the girls fifth and the boys eighth.Notable performances from the girls came by Myleigh Weers taking first in the 400-meter dash (1:01.77) and Maddie Rosebaugh was third in the 800-meters (2:38.54). Sidney Engelman was fifth in the 100-meter dash (:14.22).The 4x800-meter relay (Keira Hennerberg, Kenzie Strein, Maddie Rosebaugh, Myleigh Weers) took first place and broke a school record with a new time of 10:28.77. The 4x400-meter relay (Sidney Engelman, Keira Hennerberg, Maddie Rosebaugh, Myleigh Weers) were second (4:28.99), and the 4x100-meter relay (Sidney Engelman, Myleigh Weers, Keira Hennerberg, Maddie Rosebaugh) were third (:54.38).For the boys, Callan McKinney was first in triple jump (39’7”) and third in long jump (18’3”). Ben Sohl was sixth in shot put (37’11”).In the 800-meter run Peyton Humphreys was sixth, and helped Xavier Zabokrtsky Drake Day and Callan McKinney take fourth in the 4x400-meter relay getting a time 3:57.81. Mustangs At Del Wicks InviteThe Meridian Mustangs competed at the Del Wicks Invite on April 11. The girls were third, the boys sixth.Notable performances included Mario Escobar second in the 100 meter dash (:11.98) and fifth in the 200 meters. Jackson Huls in the 1600-meters was third with a season best 5:23.79 and in the 3200-meter run Coby Huls would place fifth. Maddox Haake was fourth in the 110-meter hurdles (:18.79, PR).Kolton Kumpf was second in the shot put (45’9”) and fifth in discus (120’). Colby Smith was fourth in the high jump and Landon Peterson was fifth.The 4x100-meter relay (Justin Bartels, Darrian Eyer, Colby Smith, Mario Escobar) took third (:49.35).The girls relays had a great turnout as the 4x800-meter relay (Kendall Filipi, Evelyn Woitalewicz, Maria Dimas, McKenzie Hofstetter) took first (11:26.31).The 4x400-meter relay (Kendall Filipi, Avery Harrington, Evelyn Woitalewicz, McKenzie Hofstetter) took second, and the 4x100-meter relay (Saege Barnell, Avery Harrington, Braxtyn Rut, Tyleiah Gooding) placed third.In the 300-meter hurdles, Kendall Filipi was second and in the 100 meter hurdles, Tyleiah Gooding was also place second (:16.78).For the 200-meter dash Braxtyn Rut was third (:29,42 PR) and Saege Barnell was fourth. Havel Extends School Record, Welch Sets RecordThe Thayer Central Titans had a busy week with the Redman Invite April 9 and the Del Wicks Invite on April 11. At the Redman Invite, the Titan squads were both seventh.Notable performances at the Redman Invite came by Cole Vorderstrasse in the discus with a throw of 155’2”. Blake Gunn placed third in the 300-meter hurdles (:45.55) and Murphey Sudbeck took fourth in the 110-meter hurdles (:17.22 PR).For the girls at the Redman Invite, Izzy Escritt was third in the 400m dash (:65.64), Piper Havel was first in the long jump (17’ 4.75”, school record).At Del Wicks, the boys were second and the girls fifth. Cole Vorderstrasse won the discus (159’6”), won the shot put (47’4”) and placed fourth in the 100. Colter Sinn placed third in the 800, Adam Lukert won the 1600-meters (5:01.94) and won the 3200-meter (11:42.69). Blake Gunn placed third in the 300-meter hurdles, fifth in the triple jump and sixth in the long jump.Bradly Neff placed second in the pole vault and long jump while Dylan Williams placed fifth in the long jump. The 4x800-meter relay (Colter Sinn, Christian Krupicka, Gavin Kroll, Brady Degenhardt) placed fourth.Izzy Escritt placed fourth in the 100-meter dash. Paige Tietjen placed fourth in the 400, and won the 800-meters (2:44.02). Josey Welch placed third in the 300 m hurdles and also third in 100m hurdles with a school record time of :16.11.Jaelynn Watson placed fifth in the 100-meter hurdles and fourth in the high jump. Meigha Schmidt placed third in the high jump, Jadyn Bowman placed fourth in the pole vault while Aydrian Meyer tied for sixth in pole vault. Braeyln Degenhard was third in the triple jump and sixth in the long jump.
