Trojans Slam Meridian By 39

The Tri County Trojans defense helped them get easy offense in victory against Meridian Mustangs with a final score of 61-22 on Dec. 22.T.C. was led led by Gavin Weichel with 20 points on 8-of-12 shooting grabbing three rebounds and three assists.Chris Janssen was the only other Trojan to get into double digits going a perfect 5-for-5 from the field coming down with seven rebounds, getting two blocks, one assist, and one steal. Carter Siems though, unable to get in the double digits, had managed to get seven points along with seven rebounds, a team leading eight assists, and a team leading five steals in the first round of Holiday Tournament action at Tri County last week.The first place match would have the Tri County Trojans taking on the Diller-Odell Griffins where the Trojans would have an offensive burst on the night winning 62-35.A trio of Trojans scored in the double digits as the team was led by Carter Siems with 19 points, getting five rebounds, one block and four assists.Gavin Weichel came away with a lucky number of 13 points while coming down with three rebounds, one assist, and two steals. Along with Chris Janssen getting a dozen points, shooting 6-for-6 at the charity stripe while grabbing a team leading eight rebounds, one steal, and one block in the game.Tri County now advances to a record of 7-2 and will be on the road to take on the Fairbury Jeffs Thursday, January 6.
